Victor Thomas Atkins, Sr., 75, of St. George, husband of Netta Atkins, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 23, 2021 at his residence.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, April 25, 2021 at St. George Memorial Gardens with the Reverends Steve Mims and Bobby Etheridge officiating.
Victor was born on October 3, 1945, a son of the late Eldridge Greely and Mattie Lee Risher Atkins. He was retired employee with Blue Circle Cement, Dorchester Wood Products, served in the St. George Unit of the SC Army National Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Mallard Lake Fishing Club and Beidler Forest Audubon Society. He was predeceased by siblings, Carol Mable Atkins Mizell, Henry Atkins, Arnold Atkins and Ronnie Atkins.
Surviving is his wife, Netta Marchant Atkins, St. George; a son, Victor “Gator” (Amy) Atkins, Dorchester; a daughter, Vickie (Chet) Couch; stepchildren, Lawrence (Heather) Kirkhart, Jr. and Ashley (Jimmy) Kirkhart; brothers, Elridge “LG” (Loretta) Atkins, Talmadge (Darlene) Atkins and Michael (Carol) Atkins; 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; his best friend, Virgil Crook.
