Vallarie Huff, 62, of Reevesville, wife of Julius James Huff, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Old St. George Baptist Church with Reverend James Way officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Tillman, Jason Tillman, Matthew Huff, Michael Odom, Jr., Corey Huff and Gregory Mount. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Fulton, Jr. and Jarrod Weathers. Visitation will be an hour before the service in the church.
Vallarie was born on October 1, 1959, in Tuscon, Arizona, a daughter of Mildred Canaday and the late Henry W. Canaday. She met the one whom her soul loved, Julius James Huff and they married May 5, 1978. She was a member of Old St. George Baptist Church where she enjoyed assisting with Vacation Bible School. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and fishing. She was predeceased by a father-in-law, Hubert Smoak “Shebie” Kizer; sisters, Patty Stidham and Nancy Ladd.
Surviving is her husband, Julius James “JJ” Huff; a daughter, Crystal (Michael) Odom, all of Reevesville; sons, Matthew (Charity) Huff, Moncks Corner and Travis (Lindsey) Huff, Reevesville; mother, Mildred (Mickey) Canaday; grandchildren, Michael Odom, Jr., Whitney Odom, Shanna Huff and Emma Grace Huff; brother, James Allen (Cindy) Canaday; sisters, Lynette Cooley and Laura Brown; mother-in-law, Barbara Kizer; sister-in-law, Gloria Marchant; and a number of nieces and nephews.
