Roy Finley, 68, widower of Judy Peters Finley, entered eternal rest on Saturday May 15 at MUSC after an extended illness.
Funeral Services will be held 3 P.M. Tuesday May 18, 2021 in the Indian Field United Methodist Church with Reverend Robert Reeves officiating, and no burial will follow. Visitation will be Monday May 17, 2021, from 5 until 7 P.M. at Bryant Funeral Home, 607 North Parler Avenue, St. George.
Roy was born on May 8, 1953, in Augusta, Georgia, a son of the late Leroy and Annie Lee Pendarvis Finley. He attended Harleyville Ridgeville High School, a member of Indian Field United Methodist Church and was a construction worker. He was predeceased by a sister, Bonnie F. Thomas.
Surviving are two sons, Roy A. (Dana) Finley, Jr. and Jim Finley, all of Lexington; a daughter, Melissa F. (Craig) Spires, West Columbia; grandchildren, Tosha Finley, Corey Robinson, Matthew Robinson, Roy (Kristen) Finley, III, Jason (Alicia) Finely, Joey (Alice) Finley and Jasmine Finley; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Harry) Cummings, Ridgeville and Peggy Moore and brother-in-law, Robert Thomas both of St. George.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Indian Field United Methodist Church, 2030 Highway 15 North, St. George, SC 29477.
