Melvin Douglas Pendarvis, 64, of St. George, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the home of Brenda Crosby.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Indian Field United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Robert Reeves officiating. Pallbearers will be Gene “Rat” Weathers, JJ Outen, Ricky Nettles, Ricky Crider, Dale Cox and John Richard Wimberly. Visitation will be held an hour before the service in the cemetery.
Douglas was born on December 20, 1956 in St. George, a son of the late Melvin and Shelby Jean Shuler Pendarvis. He was a graduate of Harleyville Ridgeville High School, was employed with Orangeburg County and a member of Indian Field United Methodist Church. He was an avid deer hunter, President of Boom Yow Branch Deer Hunting Club and member of Turkey Pond Deer Hunting Club. He enjoyed cooking at the hunting club and making his friends happy. He was predeceased by grandparents, Laurie W. Shuler, Eula Mae Shuler, and Dennis and Odell Pendarvis.
Surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
