Mary Lynette Creel Britt

Mary Lynette Creel Britt, 85, of St. George, widow of Johnny Ellison Britt, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 13, 2021.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, September 17, 2021 at St. Matthews Baptist Church with the Reverend Duane Woosley officiating.  Pallbearers will be her grandsons.  Burial will follow in the Murray Cemetery.  Visitation will be an hour before the service in the church.

Lynette was born in Grover, on January 22, 1936, a daughter of the late John Washington and Edith Rebecca Ferguson Creel.  She was a retired Civil Service employee with the Charleston Naval Shipyard and a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church.  She was predeceased by siblings, Randolph Creel, Leroy Creel and Alvilda Byrd Murray. 

Surviving is a son, Keith (Mary Lynn) Britt, Summerville; daughters, Charlean B. Canaday, St. George, Leslie (John) Lane, Summerville, Kim Britt, Grover and Holly (Sonny) Brown, Gray Court; grandchildren, Melissa Zorn, Lynn (Jamey) Canaday, Stephen (Sarah) Britt, Jason (Holly) Britt, Tiffany Heber, Brock (Kacy) Byrd, Charlie (Caroline) Shearouse, Jake Lane, Kyle Lane, Callen Brown and Mason Brown; great-grandchildren, Zander Elliott, Linsey Zorn, Braelyn Zorn, Eli Canaday, Elizabeth Canaday, Devon Valentine, Ethan Valentine Collin Shearouse, Aline Shearouse, Madison Matthews, Wyatt Byrd, Jessen Heber, Makenzie Britt, Reagan Britt, Emma Britt, Hannah Britt, Aurora Lane, Ava Lane, River Lane, and Raylie Lane; great-great grandchild,  Blakely Folk; and, a brother, Earl Creel, St. George.
