Lilly "Susie" Sue Wannamaker

Lilly Sue “Susie” Britt Wannamaker, 88, of Bowman, widow of James R. “JR” Wannamaker, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with the Reverend Michael Written officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Don Willson, Loren Metts, Charlie Weeks, Keith Britt, Shan Britt, Darren Britt, Teddy L. Britt and Blake Weathers.  Visitation will be an hour before the service beginning at 1:00 PM in the church. 

Susie was born on January 1, 1931 in Charleston, a daughter of the late Johnny and Grady Wagers Britt.  She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church where she proudly sang in the choir and a member of the Eastern Star.  She was employed at Bowcar Manufacturing plant and Dixie Cleaners.  She was predeceased by brothers, Ellison Britt, Roy Britt, Eddie Britt, Homer Wolfe and Terrell Wolfe. 

Surviving are her daughters, Cynthia (GW Kizer) Mims, Bonnie (Joe) Johnston and Robin Wannamaker; grandchildren, Carmen (Don) Willson, Chad (Jennifer) Johnston, Brandy (Loren) Metts, Dawn (Charlie) Weeks; great-grandchildren, Parker Willson, Kayla Willson, Jase Johnston, Bryce Metts, Kelsey Metts, Colby Weeks, Caden Weeks; sisters, Sadie (Mick) Weathers, Reba Dell Britt Ahl;  brothers, Teddy W. (Nancy) Britt, Danny (Vonnie) Wagers, Frankie Britt, Tony (Betty) Britt, Kent (Gloria) Britt, LB (Betty) Wolfe; sisters-in-law, Lynette Britt and Karen Britt; and a number of nieces and nephews.  The family would like to thank Ethel Washington, Hospice Staff Dale Phillips and Delores Glover.

Memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Stacy Weathers, 1877 Duncan Chapel Road, Bowman, SC 29018.
