John Dale Patrick

John Dale Patrick, 64, husband of Jane Patrick, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 29, 2021.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Old St. George Baptist Church with Reverends Bobby Eubanks, James Way and Mr. Dennis Rhode officiating.  Pallbearers will be Paul Jones, Chad Crosby, Daniel Patrick, Todd Smoak, Perry Finch and Jason Patrick. 

Dale was born on October 31, 1956, a son of the late Wesley Eldon, Sr. and Dorothy Walters Patrick. He was a graduate of Dorchester Academy, Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College and was the co-owner of Jane’s Jungle Nursery and former employee of the Charleston Navy Yard.  He was Past Master of Harmony Lodge #61 AFM and a member of Old St. George Baptist Church.  He enjoyed music, also playing in a band, great chef, a special eye for beauty concerning flowers and plants and a special wit.  He was predeceased by a brother, Aubrey Allen Patrick.

Surviving is his wife, Jane Ulmer Patrick; a daughter, Mallory Jane (Perry Finch) Miller; a son, Jonathan Ian (Amy) Patrick; a brother, Wesley Eldon “Pat” (Frances) Patrick; two sisters, Carol P. (Harley) Smoak, St. Matthews and Dean P. (Dennis) Rhode, Dorchester; a sister-in-law, Anne Patrick; and several grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Old St. George Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 509 Old St. George Road, St. George, SC 29477.
