James "Eddie" Pennington Obituary

James Edward “Fast Eddie” Pennington, 70, of Dorchester, entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Trident Medical Center.

Graveside Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Robbie Cook, Bubba Ackerman, Dusty Brownlee, Doug Brownlee, Daniel Dantzler and Nick Dantzler.  Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George. 

Eddie was born on June 11, 1951, in Charleston, a son of the late James Olin and Rebecca Pugh Pennington.  He was a graduate of Harleyville Ridgeville High School and was a truck driver with Knights Septic.  He was a member of the Gamecock Club and proud supporter, loved the Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Braves and most importantly his family and friends.  Eddie loved life and always had a smile on his face.

Surviving is his brother, Billy Pennington; two sisters, Dee (Doug) Brownlee and Dawn (Erwin) Huseman; and many loving nieces and nephews.
