James Patrick Wagers, 68, husband of Mary B. Wagers, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on 11:00 AM Saturday, February 19, 2022 in the Indian Field United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Robert Reeves officiating.
James was born on May 27, 1953, in St. George, a son of the late Albert P. Wagers and Ruby Lucille Craven Wagers. He was a retired welder and longshoreman with the Charleston Ports Authority and a member of the ILA. He raised and bred Thoroughbred horses and was a former member of the South Carolina Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association. He was a member of Indian Field United Methodist Church. He was predeceased by a sister, Kaye Wagers Hendrix.
Surviving is his wife, Mary Babocsai Wagers; sons, Bryan Patrick Wagers and Christopher John Albert Wagers (Bridget); daughters, Angie Wagers, Stephanie Marie Winger (Richard) and Jennifer Weathers (Kevin); brothers, Nollie Woodrow Wagers (Netta) and Walter Sherman Wagers (Carol); sisters, Alma Wagers Hudson and Annie Mae Wagers King and a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
