James Allen McAlhaney

James Allen McAlhaney, 85, of Summerville, entered eternal rest on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Trident Medical Center.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Bryant-Reeves Cemetery, Reeves Cemetery Road, Reevesville with the Reverend Jim McAlhaney officiating.  Pallbearers will be Danny McAlhaney, David McAlhaney, Robbie McAlhaney, Tony McAlhaney, Allen Crowe and Derek Olson.

James was born on May 7, 1936, in Reevesville, a son of the late James Bellinger “JB” and Carrie Mae Dukes McAlhaney.  He was a 1954 graduate of St. George High School, retired Owner of Dixie Auto Parts of Walterboro.  He served in the US Army and was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.  He was predeceased by siblings, Dennis (Delaine) McAlhaney, Lynda Ferkovics, Carroll McAlhaney and Charles McAlhaney.

Surviving are sons, Jim (Kristen) McAlhaney, Indian Trail, NC and Geoffrey (Christina) McAlhaney, Reevesville; granddaughter, Molly (Derek) Olson; brothers, Terry (Palmer) McAlhaney and Don (Esther) McAlhaney; and sisters, Sylvia Norton and Rosemary Crowe; sisters-in-law, Sandra McAlhaney and June McAlhaney.

 The Family suggest that memorial may be made to Bryant-Reeves Cemetery, Cheryl Kizer, 6665 Johnston Avenue, Reevesville, SC 29471.
