Cherry Benton Kizer, 85, widow of Stafford E. Kizer, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the St. George Health Care Center.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Beulah Baptist Church with Reverends Bob Frederick and Steve Mims officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kent Kizer, Barry Wimberly, Jeff Lucas, Marty Connelly, Karey McAlhany and Dennis Judy. Visitation will be an hour before the service.
Cherry was born on February 17, 1932 in Walterboro, a daughter of the late Dewey and Louise Marchant Benton. She was a graduate of Harleyville High School, member of Beulah Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Sunday School class and was the co-owner of Kizer Building Supply. She was predeceased by a daughter, Catherine Annette Kizer and siblings, Pershing Marchant, James Benton, Alene B. Canaday and Velma B. Troutman.
Surviving are two sons, David Michael ”Mike” Kizer and Brian Stafford Kizer; grandchildren, Kris (Lauren) Kizer and Kori (William) Waters; great-grandchildren, Keegan Kizer, Ella Waters and Kailyn Waters.
