Barbara Shieder Horn

Barbara Sue (Shieder) Horn, 80 – God sent one of his angels to Gene and Floride Shieder on February 2, 1941.  She met the love of her life, Joseph “Joe” Horn, son of Russell and Violet Horn of Charleston, WV.

She is survived by her husband Joe Horn.  They were married on November 5, 1960.  Barbara and Joe have two children:  Joseph Michael Horn (Sissy) and Suzie Horn Green (Ricky).  They have been blessed with four wonderful grandchildren:  Brooks Green (Sarah), Seth Horn (Breanna), Shelby Alyse Green, and Samantha Horn Rhoden (Seth).  They have also been blessed with three great-grandchildren: Poppy Green, Emma Green and Wilkes Horn.  They also have two more great-granddaughters on the way, Anna Maybin Rhoden and Mila Alyse Moorer.

Barbara and Joe have had many years of wonderful adventures from opening a country western store, square dancing, and horses, which led to many wonderful lifelong friendships out on the horse trails.

She has enjoyed her pets, horses, cats, a pig, and dogs.  Recently her dogs Izzy and Zeus were her world.  Barbara had a great love of music and she and Joe would sing together all the time.

Barbara was a member of Indian Field United Methodist Church, 2030 Highway 15 North, Saint George, SC 29477.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, October 29, 2021 at Indian Field United Methodist Church.  Barbara’s favorite color was pink.  The family requests that if you have something pink, please wear it to the memorial.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Indian Field United Methodist Church.
