Anna Lee Barrs Walters, 71, wife of Edward Ernest Walters, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 9, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Cotton Gin Church with Pastor Kevin Hinton and Pastor Charles Deitrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bert Ethridge, Collin Ethridge, Charles Smoak, Jr., George Reeves, Larry Rushton, and Nelson Young. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.
Ann was born on September 10, 1946, a daughter of the late Kivy Lewell and Lemma Louise Lane Barrs. She was a graduate of Branchville High School and the owner of Bedspreads “N” Things in St. George for over 40 years. She was a member of Cotton Gin Church where she loved working with the children and teaching Sunday school and was the Treasurer. She looked forward to seeing her grandchildren and always shared stories with them. She always had a special place in her heart for animals and spent her days with Max, Coco and Scooby. She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Mixon “Mick” Barrs.
Surviving is her husband of 53 years, Edward Ernest Walters; a son, Edward Ernest Walters, Jr. and his wife Angelique Britt Walters; grandchildren, Tyler William Walters, Grant Andrew Walters and Britt Annice Walters, all of Reevesville; a brother, William Lane Barrs, Atlanta, GA; , a sister, Marcia Barrs Jackson, Ridgeville and a special niece, Sarah Lindsay Smoak of Charlotte, NC.
