Thelma Hutto Berry, 98, of Reevesville, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was the widow of the late Theodore Fickling Berry.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 28, 2018 at St. George United Methodist Church with the Reverend Richard Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be James Fender, Sr., James Fender, Jr., Mason Fender, Denny Shuler, Cohen Shuler, Hamilton Clark, Ryan Reeves and George Brickle. Burial will follow in the St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
Surviving is her daughter, Suzanne Berry (Jimmy) Cooner; two grandchildren, Kimberly Cooner (Mark) Mimms and Jim (Sandra) Cooner, Jr; four great-grandchildren, Drew (Jessica) Mimms, Ansley Mimms, Hannah Cooner and Chelsea Salisbury; and, three great-great grandchildren, Carter Mimms, Hallie Mimms and Wade Irick.
Thelma was born on November 3, 1920 in Reevesville, a daughter of the late James Dennis and Maggie Lou Kiser Hutto. She was predeceased by two sisters, Annie Lou Rush and Mamie Sue Fender. She was a member of the St. George United Methodist Church, Claudia Kizer Sunday School Class, Missions Day Meals and the Sunshine Club. She was a 1937 graduate of St. George High School and a 1941 graduate of Columbia College.
