Melissa Louise Platt

Melissa Louise Brownlee Platt, 49, of Harleyville, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Trident Medical Center.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the home of Gail Brownlee, 1203 West Main St., Harleyville. 

Melissa was born on August 5, 1968, in Orangeburg, a daughter of the late Clement Hubert and Lizzie Mamie Metts Brownlee.  She was a 1987 graduate of Mims Academy, was a loan officer with Delta Finance and Commonwealth Finance and a member of the St. George Pentecostal Holiness Church.  She was predeceased by a brother, Terry Brownlee. 

Surviving is her husband, Joe Platt; a son, Joshua Dale Kemmerlin, both of Harleyville; a brother, Timmy (Vickie) Brownlee; mother and father-in-law, William R. Perry and Margie Perry; sisters-in-law, Gail Brownlee, Harleyville Syble (Mark) Vines, Obita, FL and Mollie Scott, Holly Hill; brother-in-law, Bruce Platt, Roanoke, VA; many nieces and nephews and her favorite pet, Hank.

Memorials may be made to the St. George Pentecostal Holiness Church, Building Fund, 110 Reed Street, St. George, SC 29477.
