Melanie Garrick

Melanie Garrick, 76, of Bowman, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the St. George Health Care Center.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Bowman Southern Methodist Church with the Reverend Marvin Clark officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bowman Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jared Weathers, Tamyn Garrick, Jordan Weathers, Dave Funchess, Chad Funchess, Kenny Topps and Curt Jeffcoat. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, 607 North Parler Ave, St. George. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, 112 Quaker Road, St. George.

Melanie was born on March 2, 1941 in Bowman, a daughter of the late Leonard Victor and Mary Ott Rickenbaker.  She was a member of the Bowman Southern Methodist Church and she loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her furry friends.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Tamara G. Topps and a sister, Frances R. Funchess. 

Surviving is her son, Dwayne (Gina) Garrick, Barnwell; a daughter, Missi (Eric) Wooten, St. George; grandchildren, Stephanie (Curt) Jeffcoat, Laura Topps, Jared, Jordan, Melayna and Maura Weathers, Tamyn Garrick and Celie G. (Cannon) Jordan; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Tamara Jeffcoat; brother-in-law, David B. Funchess; and a number of nieces and nephews.
