MSGT USAF Ret. William Davis "Billy" Murray 83 of St. George entered into eternal rest Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Trident Medical Center.
A Celebration of his life will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Bryant Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the home of Cathi Murray, 301 Central Ave., St. George.
Billy "KRJ" was born December 25, 1935 in St. George, a son of the late Jefferson Davis and Laurie Wimberly Murray Rickenbaker. He was a US Air Force Veteran, serving his country for 23 Years. He was part of the crew that worked on the SR71 Blackbird along with being awarded a Bronze Star during his tour in Vietnam. He as well retired from Holcim Cement Company. He was a member and past Commander of St. George American Legion Post 105, Life Member of the Eutawville VFW Post 10980, 308th A&E Squadron, TREH The Enlisted Association, Indian Field United Methodist Church. He was a Proud American, a wonderful Father and a loving and amazing Grandfather and a devoted friend. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Carol Murray Connelly and his step father Otis Rickenbaker.
Surviving is his son, Steven D. (Janet) Murray, Easley, a daughter, Deborah M. (John) Paquet, Jacksonville Beach, FL; grandchildren Brandon Davis Murray, Caroline Ann Murray and Shelby Nicole Paquet; and a brother, Kenny Murray.
