She continued to work in the family business, Weathers Cottages, Grille, and Service Station, which her family owned and operated in Rosinville. She was a lifelong and devoted member of Indian Field United Methodist Church and was active in church and Sunday School. She was an avid amateur photographer and stellar cook. She still liked to look through her photo collection and received requests for her recipe for delicious homemade relish. She was affectionately known as “Grum Grum” to everyone. She was predeceased by sisters, Grace Barker, Francis Kizer and Bobby Stephens and a brother, Roy Weathers.
