John Joe Simers

John Joe Simers, of 103 Easy Street, Harleyville died Sunday June 16, 2019 at his home.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Friday June 21, 2019 at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris May officiating. Burial will follow in the St. George Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour before service.

John was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia a son of the late Kenneth Lee and Alberta Evelyn Wires Simers. He was a retired employee of WABCO Compressor Manufacturing in North Charleston, SC, where he was a press operator. He was graduate of Waterford High School in Waterford, Ohio. He attended Midway Baptist Church in Goose Creek and was predeceased by sisters; Marge Christy and Sylvia “Sue” Purdue.

Surviving: 2 sons; John Allen Simers, Arrow brook, OK and Steven James (Casey) Simers, Mt. Pleasant, Texas; his twin brother, Thomas Lee (Cynthia), Harleyville, SC; 2 grandchildren, Kayla and Kenlee Simers and several Nieces and Nephews.
