James R. Reynolds

James Raymond Reynolds, 88, of Dorchester, married to his first wife of 48 years, Helen Elizabeth Reynolds, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 5, 2017.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Dorchester Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 4:00-6:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.  

James was born on April 10, 1929 in Centerville, Virginia, a son of the late James Monroe Reynolds, Sr. and Evelyn Virginia Creel.  He was retired from the US Army and was a Korean War Veteran.  He was predeceased by his second wife, Mae Bazzle; siblings, Sonny Reynolds, Milburn Hussein, Carolyn Pelton and Janet Hines.

Surviving is his son, Woodrow “Woody” (Brenda) Reynolds, New Castle, PA; daughters, Helen Juanita (Bob) Campbell, Woodbine, GA and Rachel Virginia (Laura) Reynolds, Summerville; grandchildren, Tim Campbell, Tammy (Richard) Gnegy, Nathaniel Reynolds, Natalie Walton and Laurence Crislip; great-grandchildren, Campbell, Banx, Maddox and Evangeline Gnegy and Guinevere Campbell; sisters, Dorothy Craven, Elizabeth Stanish, Gloria Jean Rojenski and Alice Watts; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Rudd and Alice Evans, brothers-in-law, Henry Mizell and Franklin Mizell; and many nieces and nephews.
