Jack S. Neil

Jack Sylvester Neil, 89, husband of Jacquelyn H. Neil, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Veterans Victory House Nursing Home.

Graveside Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Willow Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Daniel Cooper officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour before the service at the church.

Jack was born on October 6, 1928 in Ottumwa, Iowa, a son of the late Holley Dwight and Cecilia Adcock Neil.  He was a member of the US Navy and was an insurance investigator with Equifax.  He was an avid gardener, “Rock Hound”, and a Gideon.  He shared his vegetables and his many stone creations with family and friends.  He was predeceased by sons, John Eric Neil and Gary Kurtis Neil.

Surviving are his wife, Jacquelyn Hutto Neil; a son, Dwight (Karen) Neil, all of St. George; a daughter-in-law, Libby Neil, Townville, SC; grandchildren, Laura (Wright) Henry, Jenna (Robert) McCall, Rebecca (Trey) Wade, Jack (Kristen) Neil and Grace Neil; great-grandchildren, Curtis and Callan Henry, Bishop and Caroline McCall, Dallas, Sawyer, Maddox, and Zadie Wade, and Hank Neil; and siblings, Richard, Pat and Paula.
