Evelyn Jackson

Evelyn Jackson, 86, of Reevesville, widow of Allen Louis Jackson, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the St. George Health Care Center.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at the Old St. George Baptist Church with the Reverends Ned Duncan and Paul Zerbet officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Ryan Albrighton, Matthew Sweatman, Mike Heatley, Jackson Diamond, Craig Jackson and Terry Walters.  Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.

Evelyn was born on March 4, 1931 in Reevesville, a daughter of the late James Rufus (Jim) and Mary Julia Walters Walters.  She was a graduate of St. George High School and was as Administrative Specialist with the State Department of Social Services.  She was a member of the Old St. George Baptist Church and enjoyed family and friendship for many years at Indian Field Campmeeting.

Surviving is a son, Jimmy Louis Jackson, Reevesville; a daughter, Aileen J. (Dennis) White; grandchildren, Craig Jackson, Jennifer (Bruce) Hauptman, Mary Ann (Mike) Heatley and Matthew Sweatman; great-grandchildren, Sarah Smoak, Ryan Albrighton, Rebekah Diamond, Jackson Diamond, Jacob Heatley, Chloe Heatley, Rosemary Heatley, Matthew Sweatman, Jr. and David Sweatman.
