Eunice Proctor Hinton

Eunice Proctor Hinton, 94, widow of David Edward Hinton, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 28, 2018 at The Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Old St. George Baptist Church with the Reverend Kevin Hinton officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.

Eunice was born on November 2, 1923 in St. George, a daughter of the late John Washington and Mamie Herron Proctor.  She was a graduate of St. George High School and retired from the Dorchester County Auditor’s office.  She was a member of the Old St. George Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher.  She was predeceased by a sister, Corine Judy.

Surviving are her sons, Darrell (Marvalene) Hinton, St. George, and Michael (Anne) Hinton, Nashville, TN; a daughter, Sandra (Carroll) McAlhaney, St. George; grandchildren, Lisa (Frank) West, Tim (Maureen) McAlhaney, Sandy Bartram, Corey (Gary) West, Michelle (Mike) Sanderson and Elizabeth Hinton; great-grandchildren, Abbie West, Luke McAlhaney, Kate McAlhaney, Benjamin West, Zachary West, Will Bartram, Clay Bartram, Nick Bartam, Alex Bartram and Ashley Bailey; step-grandchildren, Lori (Eric) Broderick and Tania (Kyle) Bibler; step-great grandchildren, Payton Broderick, Tanner Broderick, Rachel Broderick, Chase Cummings and Isabell Bibler; a brother, Milton Proctor, Walterboro.
