Betty Joann (Peters) Walters

Betty Joann Peters Walters, 82, wife of John Cicero Walters, of 10152 Charleston Highway, St. George, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Trident Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday at Indian Field United Methodist Church with the Reverends John Williams officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Dustin Walters, Eric Fralix, Slade Walters, Timmy Peters, Timothy Peters and Gene Weathers.  Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home.

Joann was born on February 12, 1935, in St. George, a daughter of the late Francis “Frank” Washington and Maybell Carn Peters.  She was employed with Carolina Girls Wear, cashier at the Dorchester County Career School cafeteria and a member of Indian Field United Methodist Church.  She was predeceased by a brother, Franklin W. Peters, Jr. 

Surviving is her loving husband of 58 years, John Cicero Walters, St. George; two sons, John Mark Walters, Reevesville and Christopher David (Tracey) Walters, Bowman; a daughter, Tammy (James) Fralix, St. George; grandchildren, Jonathan Dustin (Tara) Walters, Eric James Fralix, Slade Christopher Walters, Haven Nicole Walters; and a great-grandchild, Isabella Lyn Walters.

Memorials may be made to Indian Field United Methodist Church, 2030 Highway 15 North, St. George, SC 29477.
