Basil Carroll Killion, 75, of Reevesville, husband of Myrtle B. Killion, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Trident Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Reevesville Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Ron Heddle and Rev. David Swofford officiating. Burial with Military Rites will follow at 3:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Aarron Fickling, Clint Killion, James Sikes, Brian Ingle, David Stepp, Mike Shipman and Brad Killion. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.
Basil was born on February 17, 1943, in Charleston, a son of the late Calvis Carroll and Leona Gibson Killion. He was a graduate of North Charleston High School, a retired mechanic Charleston Naval Shipyard with Shop 38 and an Army veteran who served in Korea and the Vietnam War. He was a member of Reevesville Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife, Myrtle Brewer Killion, Reevesville; three sons, Basil DeWayne (Cindy) Killion, Ridgeville, Ronald Brad Killion, Dorchester and Bill Barten, Salisbury; two daughters, Marsalette (Frank) Nigro, Ladson and Sharon (Richard) Annis, Summerville; brothers, Carlton (Dolly) Killion, Goose Creek and Bruce A. (Donna) Killion, Summerville; a sister, Mazelene K. Walker, Palestine, Texas; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
