Alvie Lee Thompson, 79, of 184 First Texas Road, St. George, widow of James A. “Red” Thompson, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 4, 2019 at home. This fulfilled her wishes to be home.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. Howard Proveaux officiating. Burial will follow in the St. George Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Kevin Risher, Wesley Risher, Chris Seachrist and Aaron Packard. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
Alvie Lee was born on October 23, 1939 in Kershaw County, a daughter of Jacqueline Watts. She attended public school and had many successful business ventures. She retired in the middle 1980s to be a stay at home wife, mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by siblings Cathey Sue, Mary Nix, Lee Roy Welch and Ronnie Ellis.
Surviving is her a daughter, Vickie Lynn Foust (Jay O’Neal), Walterboro; Grandchildren, Simon DeLee Parsano, St. George and Kristina Caroline (Aaron) Packard, Walterboro; great-grandchildren, Trystin Layne Packard and Aibhlinn Rochelle Packard; and, a sister, Bonnie Jean Crawford.
