Stephen Herman Weathers, 76, of Bowman, widower of Miriam Kay Weathers, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Written officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dwight O. “Trey” Weathers, III, Dwight Stokes, Ben Stokes, Martin Connelly, Will Easterlin and James M. “Jimmy” Weathers, Jr. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.
Herman was born on December 10, 1941 in Bowman, a son of the late Dwight Oliver and Elise West Weathers. He attended Bowman High School, a member of the National Guard and Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He was a clerk for Carters ABC store and Farmers Gin in Bowman. He was predeceased by a brother, Dwight Oliver Weathers, Jr.
Surviving is a son, Stephen H. (Lindsay) Weathers, Jr., Lexington; grandchildren, Sydney Hannah Weathers and Levi Micah Weathers; brothers-in-law, Glenn Hugh Weathers and Edward L. Easterlin, Bowman; a sister-in-law, Carolyn (Dennis) Mizzell, Harleyville; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Scholarship Fund, 1877 Duncan Chapel Road, Bowman, SC 29018.
