John "Johnnie" Norris Shieder, Jr.

John Norris “Johnnie” Shieder, Jr., 58, husband of Marcia B. Shieder, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 06, 2018 at Trident Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Matthews Baptist Church with the Rev. Duane Woosley and Rev. Bob Frederick officiating.  Burial will follow in the Harbeson Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Terry Roberts, Brent Jackson, Lynn Fredrick, Wayne Shieder, Benjamin Jordan and William Murray.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday evening at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.

Johnnie was born on February 27, 1959, a son of John Norris Shieder, Sr. and the late Betty Mae Carter Shieder. He was the owner of Johnnie’s Small Engines and Car Wash in Grover, a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church and an avid Carolina gamecock fan.

Surviving is his wife, Marcia Shieder; two step-daughters, Stephanie (Deepak Kapoor) Judy and Natalie Judy (Emil) Emanuel; grandchildren, Harrison C. Kapoor and Julia Azalee Emanuel; his father, John Norris Shieder; a brother, Ronnie Shieder; and, sisters, Connie S. (Dean) Jackson, Robin (John) Kaelen.
