James Bufort Dukes, 65, of St. George, husband of Frances Smith Dukes, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Colleton Medical Center.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the home of David K. Smith, 165 Blanche Drive, Harleyville.
James was born on March 13, 1952 in Harleyville, a son of the late Joseph Harry and Georgia B. Lois Dukes. He was a driver for Mid State Homes.
Surviving is his wife, Frances S. Dukes; sons, James B. Dukes, Jr., William F. Smith, David K. Smith, Robert “Ray” Shuler, Christopher “Ted” Dukes and Michael D. Dukes; grandchildren, Dillon smith, Kristen Dukes, Chase Dukes, David Keith Smith, Jr., Ohahana Johnson, Leonardo Emilio Dukes, Rayanna Shuler a brother, Joseph Harry Buck Dukes, Jr.; and, sisters, Linda (Wayne) Walters, Esterline Brownlee and Barbara Jean Brownlee.
