Henry Mizell, 94, of Harleyville, widower of Annie Bishop Mizell, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 23, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Limestone Baptist Church with the Reverend Steve Mims officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.
Henry was born on February 3, 1924 in Harleyville, a son of the late Enos and Magnolia Parker Mizell, after his parents death, he was raised by Willie and Minnie Parker. He was owner of Henry’s Meat Market at Magnolia’s Crossing on the corner of King and Heriot Street in Charleston for over 65 years. He was a farmer and a member of the Limestone Baptist Church. He was predeceased by a daughter, Carol M. Hattaway, siblings, Lee Mizell, Adelene Mizell, J. D. Parker, Beatrice Mims, Mildrew P. Napier and Doreta Bishop.
Surviving is a son, Jimmy (Jennifer) Mizell; daughters, Gloria M. (Terry) Walters, Kathy M. (John) Woods, Lynn M. (Tommy) Christensen and Rosie M. (Michael) McManus; a son-in-law, Ken Hattaway; grandchildren, Tammy (Gene) Williams, Charity Trout, Michael (April) Jackson, Katrina (Travis) Feagin, Lori (Larry) Hill, Jamie (Jennifer) Walters, Nicholas (Holly) Leslie, Kristy (Richard) Bailey, Zachary (Allison) Woods, Jessica Davis, Donna (David) Bates, Catherine Hattaway, Mark (Beth) Christensen and Emily (Matthew) Clark; 29 great-grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren; and, a sister-in-law, Ruth Bishop Limehouse.
