Charles Pigate

Charles Pigate, 83, of Harleyville, widower of Elizabeth K. Pigate, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Trident Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 15, 2017 at First Baptist Church Harleyville with Reverend Terry Hiers officiating.  Burial will follow in the Harleyville Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.

Charles was born on May 2, 1934 in Florence County, a son of the late Leo and Angela Tedder Pigate.  He was retired from Giant Cement, served in the National Guard and was a member of First Baptist Church Harleyville. 

Surviving is a son, Charles Leo (Terry Garrett) Pigate of Harleyville; grandchildren, Charlie Leo (Kiersten) Pigate, Jr. and Alan Hughes (Amanda) Pigate, 10 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, Jennifer Garrett and Michael Garrett; a sister, Italeen Sweatman, Harleyville.
